Surroundings:

Situated in the western end of the city, the hill overlooking Lake Balaton, along with the Baricska and the Hordó inn, has been one of the key components of the scenery for decades. The city council has been keeping the area under local protection with the intention of preserving this scenery, a symbol of the city of grape and wine.

Aims of the compound:

The creation of the wine track suggested by the affected owners is not only beneficial for individual exploits, but also for preserving the area.
The planned development - as part of the area's wine track network - would also serve tourism. Based on the examples of other historical wine-producing areas, local owners hope to establish a track that would bring about the revival of wine-tourism, and extend the season into the spring and summer.

The buildings:

The goal of the buildings is mainly to offer wines from local producers; this was the main aspect during designing when determining the sizes, and the blueprints were formulated to comply with the relevant restrictions.
The sum footprint of the house is 60-70 m2, the arched, earth-covered cellar 30 m2.

Instruments of control:

As a guarantee of proper look, it might be reasonable to impose restrictions on the quality of external elements (sitting accessories, grape arches, signs), or the tree-planting obligation of the user to provide indigenous species (e.g.: walnut, almond, wild pear).
It must be weighed carefully whether the imposed restrictions are detrimental to the appearance of individual image on individual buildings.
During the creation of the restrictions, care must be taken to ensure proper conservation of the customs of the North-Balaton region's wine and grape culture, and their blending with modern architectural values.
To those in charge, another important aspect to consider is that, in addition to the current preservative ventures, the creation of a high-quality "Füred wine track", with good local character will contribute heavily to local and foreign media viewing Balatonfüred as a city honoring its natural and cultural heritage.
